As You Do is a crew neck, raglan sweater worked in wide ribbing and stockinette, with a moderate amount of positive ease. Shaping, framed by angled ribbing, gives it understated details.
The sweater is worked from the bottom-up in the round. If you choose to work the lower sleeves also in the round, it is almost seamless. Alternatively, the sleeves can be worked flat to the underarm and then seamed. From the underarm, the sleeves are then worked together with the torso in the round. A small seam is used to complete the join of the sleeves to the torso at the underarm.
Short rows are used to shape the neckline. The crew neck can be worked with an optional fold over and stitched down.
It is requires a DK (8 ply) yarn with a gauge of 22 sts x 30-32 rows = 10 cm (4 inches) in stockinette.
It has a difficulty level of advanced intermediate because achieving the details in the ribbing requires careful reading of the pattern and knitting.
As You Do is named after the forest trail I walked in the rain on the day the example in the image was finished.
